An estate agent in Manchester is the first to broadcast a ‘live’ property video tour hosted by the eFilm virtual viewings platform.
Manchester estate agency Ryder & Dutton fronted the event, which was presented by Chadderton branch manager Lewis McLarty on Saturday to 16 potential buyers.
The property was a three-bedroom Victorian terraced house in New Moston, in the north eastern suburbs of the city for sale at £250,000.
During the presentation he films the surrounding streets and explains the area’s selling points before proceeding to tour the property using his mobile phone, talking throughout the viewing.

The vendors were not at the property during the video tour and those watching the nine-minute live event were able to ask questions afterwards.
David Varley (left), whose company has developed the eFilm virtual viewings platform and recently launched its live broadcast capability, says he was impressed by the agent’s presentation skills and that he thinks live video viewings by agents will grow in popularity very quickly as a way to complete initial property filtering.
“Sellers no longer want hordes of people traipsing through their property especially in light of Covid 19,” he says.
“It is now time to be seen and heard online and efilm live open house video gives you a live mouthpiece, fitting perfectly with the Government’s criteria in terms of keeping the spread of the pandemic to an absolute minimum.
“In other words, one person in the seller’s property, the estate agent, broadcasting to a multitude of buyers or renters online. It is a very safe but progressive proactive approach.”
