Foxtons’ former sales boss Andrew Weir has joined prime central London buying service LCP as its Chief Executive.
Until quitting Foxtons in July last year Weir had spent 32 years at the estate agency rising through the ranks to head up its sales operation, a role he held for over five years.
During this time he managed its 300-strong sales team and was responsible for the firm’s £76 million sales turnover, although few would envy his role in recent years during which, like many agents in the capital, Foxtons saw sales volumes plummet within its key markets.
Weir worked initially at Foxtons as a sales negotiator before becoming a branch sales manager, then an area director and subsequently boss of its entire sales division.
AT LCP he replaces founder Naomi Heaton, who is to become chairman of its parent group. Recent internal promotiom Liam Monaghan is to become LCP’s Managing Director.
“It is an honour to be taking the role on from Naomi Heaton, whose entrepreneurial and seasoned leadership has taken the company so far,” says Weir.
I look forward to taking it on to the next stage of its development and guiding it through the uncharted territories that 2020 will undoubtedly bring.”
Naomi Heaton (left), LCP Group Chairman: “I am delighted that Andrew has taken on the role of Chief Executive at London Central Portfolio. His experience spanning new business growth, team building and brand development will be an invaluable asset to LCP. This will be a step change for the company, allowing me to focus on other areas of business development.”
